The Treaty of GreeneVille signing was depicted in this painting by noted Ohio artist, Howard Chandler Christy.  His original work hangs in the Garst Museum and he used that model to paint the much larger painting that hangs in the Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio.  The central figures in the painting are Chief Little Turtle of the Miamis, William Wells-interpreter for the two sides but also Little Turtle’s son-in-law and a scout for General ‘Mad’ Anthony Wayne, and General Wayne.  It measures about 24” by 18”. The Ohio parchment poster depicts some of the important events and people in Ohio’s history.  It measures about 11” by 13”.
