ACCESSIBILITY

The majority of the museum is accessible to visitors with restricted mobility or disability. However, due to the historic nature of the Garst House, there is some limited accessibility.

  • Garst Museum has limited handicapped availability. Special Needs parking and the wheelchair/children's stroller entrance is located at the side entrance on Wilson Drive. There are a limited number of wheelchairs available for use while visiting the museum

  • The first floor of the museum, including the Annie Oakley Center, is handicapped accessible with the exception of one of the Research Center rooms. Wheelchairs and children's strollers will find it easy to navigate the majority of the museum's exhibits. Both of the restrooms on the first floor are equipped with wheelchair-accessible stalls.

  • The smaller second floor of the old Garst House, which houses the military exhibit, is not handicapped accessible. (Note: There is a binder with photos of the exhibit on the 1st floor).

  • The Lowell Thomas house which is outside of the museum is not wheelchair accessible and is currently closed.

Please contact the museum at 937-548-5250 or email us at information@garstmuseum.org if you have questions or would like to coordinate a visit for yourself or for groups with special needs. We will make every effort to ensure that you have a comfortable visit.
