Born in Darke County, Ohio in 1878, this book traces Kathryn’s early life, the education she received at Wilberforce University, and the experiences she had with her work with the NAACP as its first field agent, the time spent in WWI France teaching reading to the colored troops, to her return to the US and Jim Crowism. Softbound and measuring 6” by 9” this 232-page book contains photographs, illustrations, an epilogue, and an addendum of correspondence and other materials of Kathryn's.
