These 1st day envelopes contain an insert with a description of the Old Northwest Territory.  The envelope was created to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of GreeneVille in 1795.  Each is postmarked from Greenville on August 3, 1935 with a canceled 3 cent stamp. Also included is an ornament with the Christy painting of the Treaty signing which measures 1.25 by 1.5 inches.
