The Darke County Foundation generously supported the Garst Museum's point-of-sale (POS) monetization project. The Foundation's grant funded a new POS system in the museum’s main reception area, allowing patrons to use multiple payment methods. Previously, only cash is accepted in this area, requiring patrons to travel to the Museum Store to pay via other methods.
Additional benefits of the POS project include more efficient museum store, admissions, membership, and donation transactions integrated with store inventory and accounting operations.
