Edited by Elaine Holzapfel, the book explores over 12,000 years of the history of human occupation in West-Central, Ohio.  Some of the title’s contents are A Turtle Effigy Humped Gorget from Palestine, Engraved Slate Found Near Jaysville, A Darke County Adena Site, Artifacts from Blockhouse #8 and Fort Recovery, and The Kinzie Brooch.  The softbound book is well illustrated with drawings, charts, maps, and both black and white and color photographs.  It was published in 2004, measures 8.5” by 11” and contains 113 pages.
