1995 Bicentennial of the Signing of the Treaty of Greenville Time Capsule Exhibit

In 1995, the year of the 200th Anniversary of the Signing of the Treaty of Greenville, the bicentennial committee placed in a time capsule, 106 items which included historical documents, medals, past newspapers, and others articles. The time capsule was to be opened twenty-five years into the future (the year 2020). The capsule was opened in downtown Greenville on August 23, 2020, and many of the items are now exhibited in the Lowell Thomas Meeting Room at the Garst Museum.
